In his debut film Anil Radhakarishna Menon has showed his creative skills in direction, in this second film undoubtedly he has marked his position in Malayalam film industry.

Among the cinema community there is talk that film which has Thrissur slang will hit the box-office.Thoovanathumbikal,Pranchiyettan,Punylan etc are the best examples .To that category now we can add sapthamsree also .It’s basically a director’s film. One could really feel the master craftsmanship of a director in this film .Surprisingly the screenplay credit also goes to the director. Since it’s his screenplay he could have visualized the entire film scene by scene .That has contributed a lot to the film .Beginning from the selection of characters he has put his efforts and all the characters have done their best to the  roles. Even shadow characters also have an identity and contribution .That’s the success of this film.

In this film there is no super hero or no super heroic gimmicks but still it gives a sense of joy and happiness in the theater .Though Prithviraj is the hero all others have equally contributed.Asifali in his rough and tough nature scored too. As usual nedumudi done his role extremely well .The interesting thing is that Anil Rdhakrishna Menon showed us how one could use the second or third line actors into main stream .

After watching the film if you rewind it again you could feel that no complex story involved in it nor any attractive one line story. That’s what we feel it as directors film .The screen play ,the sequence ,the dialogues ,the timing all have its own credit to the film ,Put together made it as a hit. The innocence in the layman’s language will make you laugh high in the theatre.Its a clean entertainer. No part of the film will down your expectations. Without any prejudices you can go to this film to  enjoy with your family and can praise the Thrissur slang  and the director.

Ajay Vasudev has proved that he can create a blockbuster film with superstar. This film was a must for Mammotty after the sequel of defeats in the theatre for a quite long time. One must agree the caliber of Mammooty even in this age. There were times where the whole industry thought that this man would be out casted. But it never happened and will never .He proved that he is fit for the industry time and again. I don’t think that because of his non -performance any film has ever failed in the box office. May be he might have compromised over the script and director for a number of reasons but never on performance. If a film get fails I will criticize the script writer and director since they failed to accommodate the stars they want or the screenplay didn’t work out as the wished .These are the primary reasons .Non performance of the stars comes secondary. Back to the film Rajadhiraja ….I would say this is a typical ‘Tamil masala film made in Kerala’.Even the location, the script, the stunt song comedy sequence ….everything is in typical Tamil style.Udhayakrishan and Sibi k Thomas  rocked again with their screen play and in the recent time they have kept their position as super stars in screenplay writing. It’s their habit to tell the story in a big canvas with lot of artist .Naturally the cost will increase but at the end of the day it gives back to the producer. Here also they adopted the same method with lot of artists but less in numbers compare to their other films. The thread of the film is that an old don with full of family sentiments .No big twists and turns even if its there the audience can expect what will happen at the end.A lovely song is there in the film .Jojo strikes again but sometimes unwanted comedy pulls him back .As usual female artists have no other work but to serve their heros,they have no space to contribute to this film .Laksmi Rai and Lena has done what they told to do .Sidhique and Joy Mathew also have not much to do.And many villains from Hindi other languages have stored enough kicks from our Mammootyy!!!It’s just ‘film’ one can just see and forget. It gives no scope for an after discussion. How many Tamil film we have enjoyed for no reasons. This time let it be for our Mammokka.One would appreciate his down to earth acting in the beginning and the beauty of the film is that he is family man till the end of the film for his family…A just see and forget film but certainly family audience can try it since it will not get you bored
